About

Campo de Tiro El Fresnillo — a shooting range for clay target shooting, located 3 kilometers from the walls of medieval Ávila (Castile and León, Spain) within the Naturávila sports complex. Opened in 1977, the range underwent a complete renovation in 2021 after a fire and a prolonged closure, and is now among the leading venues in the country for clay shooting competitions.

The main discipline — Olympic trap — is represented by five covered layouts, allowing for training and competitions in any weather. In 2024, a compact sporting layout will be opened, which is currently used exclusively for scheduled competitions. The range has already hosted the World Championship in Universal Trap (2023), the European Championship in the same discipline, and the first Spanish Championship in Sport FEDECAT (2025), confirming its international status.

The facility includes a restaurant, parking, Wi-Fi, and air conditioning. The range is adapted for visitors with limited mobility. Among the new directions is air pistol shooting, announced as a new feature for 2025.

The range is suitable for both experienced clay shooters preparing for competitions and those who are just starting to familiarize themselves with clay target shooting.
