Brisbane Gun Club
About
Brisbane Gun Club — a shooting range for clay target shooting located in Belmont (Queensland, Australia), just twenty minutes from the center of Brisbane and the airport. The club is part of the Belmont Shooting Complex at 292 Mount Petrie Road and operates as a non-profit sporting organization open to shooters of all levels — from beginners to Olympic athletes.
The range offers four disciplines of clay target shooting. Trap is represented by six fields; in addition to classic trap, variations include Continental, Double Rise, Deauville Doubles, and Universal Trench — the latter being a transitional discipline between trap and Olympic trench (ISSF Trench). The Olympic trench (ISSF Trench) has three full fields. Skeet comprises four fields, each supporting both American skeet and Olympic skeet (ISSF Skeet). On Friday evenings, night trap training is conducted under LED lighting — available for club members and licensed shooters. Monthly competitions cover skeet and ISSF Trench (first Sunday of the month), night trap (second and fourth Wednesday), ISSF Trench (third Wednesday), and trap (fourth Sunday).
The clubhouse is equipped with a bar, kitchen, barbecue area, and a spacious balcony overlooking the fields — convenient for spectators and group events. The club offers ammunition from leading global and local manufacturers, as well as shooting accessories: glasses, ear protection, and cleaning supplies for shotguns. Shotgun rentals are available for licensed shooters. The club has accredited instructors and offers individual training and courses for beginners, including the Come & Try program. Corporate events, birthday celebrations, and parties are also regularly held here.
