About

The La Rapée shooting range is located in the commune of Saint-Denis-le-Ferment (Eure department, Normandy, France), approximately an hour's drive from Paris and Rouen. The complex spans 16 hectares of woodland and is run by world champion in sporting and compact sporting, Christophe Auvret, who has managed the range since 2001.

The main focus is on clay target shooting in the sporting and compact sporting formats. The facility features 7 Pull Clay stands with various trajectories: a ring series of 10 targets, a crossing shot at 25 m, rabbit, candle, battue, looper, and others. Additionally, there are 4 traps with 5 machines each for practicing left, right, and high trajectories. For hunters, there is a 40 m track with a silhouette of a wild boar or roe deer on a rail. A total of 150 machines from Promatic and Laporte are installed at the range, most of which are powered by solar panels. The targets are fully biodegradable, produced by Laporte Industries. Launching is done via a radio remote control from Baron.

The clubhouse, covering over 150 m², includes an indoor bar with IV license, a dining area of about 80 m², and an outdoor terrace with standing areas and tables (approximately 200 m²), sheltered and open to the shooting areas. The premises are heated, with restrooms available both inside and outside. The arsenal includes a gun and ammunition shop (Tunet cartridges). Training and instruction are available from an experienced coach. The range regularly hosts competitions, including its own World Snooker tournament. La Rapée is suitable for both first-time experiences in clay target shooting and preparation for national and international championships.
