About

Back Woods Quail Club — a shooting range for clay target shooting and hunting club located on the Old Morrisville Plantation near Georgetown, South Carolina, USA. The complex spans over 15,000 acres of open fields, woodlands, and forests and operates year-round, seven days a week from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.

Clay target shooting is one of the club's key focuses. For sporting, there are two 15-station layouts: one designed for beginners and the other for experienced shooters and competitive levels. Each layout allows for shooting a series of 50 or 100 targets. The machines are fully automated and operated by a button. Separate layouts for skeet and ABT, as well as a five-stand, are also available. The club is a member of NSCA and regularly hosts registered tournaments and charity competitions.

For shooters, shotgun and golf cart rentals are available, as well as ammunition. Private lessons are conducted by two certified instructors — Dave Lemmen and Ken Podraza. There is a rifle and pistol range on-site. The club offers on-site accommodations (cabins, camping, RV sites), a snack bar, picnic area, parking for 500 vehicles, Wi-Fi, restrooms, and accessibility for individuals with disabilities. Corporate events and group packages are available. Membership provides discounts on shooting, rentals, and lessons.
