About

Army Aviation Shotgun Club — a clay target shooting range located on the military base of Fort Novosel in Alabama, USA. The club is open to military personnel, veterans, and civilian employees of the base, as well as residents of the surrounding communities — from beginners to experienced clay shooters.

The range features six skeet fields, two ABT fields, and one five-stand field. The club has been a member of the National Skeet Shooting Association (NSSA) since 1984 and hosts over 12 sanctioned NSSA events annually — from regional to national, including the Alabama State Skeet Championship and the Zone 4 Championship. Over 300,000 targets are thrown annually.

The club offers individual and group skeet instruction from NSSA-certified instructors — for both beginners and advanced shooters. The range includes a clubhouse, lighting for the fields, parking, and a camping area with electrical hookups. A limited supply of ammunition in 12, 20, 28 gauge, and .410 is available for use exclusively on the range. Access to the base requires a DOD ID or guest pass.

The range is suitable for both first-time exposure to clay shooting and preparation for state and national level competitions.
